GREYWOLF SECURITY: F Y I I would like to take this opportunity to emphasize a couple of things. First, there is nothing on this site that will make you “10 feet tall and bullet proof”. I cannot emphasize enough the fact that you should be familiar with (know it’s limitations!) and know how to properly use any product you purchase from us. Find someone to train you if necessary. This is especially true with our Stun Devices and Pepper Spray. You should also be familiar with local laws concerning possession and use of our products. Second, you should minimize the possibility of putting yourself in danger. You should ALWAYS stay alert and be aware of your surroundings. Another very important point: Trust your instincts! If something doesn’t feel right or someone makes you nervous, remove yourself from the situation immediately. Given the above, our products can give you a definite edge over the bad guys should the situation arise! Be Alert * Be Aware * Be Safe A Look Back at Crime and the Law... A Look Back at Crime and the Law…
September 24, 1789 The First Supreme Court is EstablishedThe U.S. Supreme Court was established by Article 3 of the U.S. Constitution. It mandated there be but one "Supreme Court" and gave it jurisdiction over all laws, particularly laws in which their constitutionality was involved. The Constitution did not, however, set the number of justices. On this date, the Judiciary Act of 1789 was passed and signed by President George Washington. It established the Supreme Court would consist of six justices who would serve until retirement or death. President Washington nominated John Jay as chief justice along with William Cushing, John Rutledge, Robert Harrison, James Wilson and John Blair to serve as associate justices. All were confirmed on September 26th by the U.S. Senate. Six justices in two days! A far cry from todays confirmation hearings! The number of justices varied during the 19th century until todays total of nine justices was set in 1869. May 7, 1896 A Serial Killer is Executed. On this date, Herman Mudgett, aka Dr. H. H. Holmes, aka the Arch Fiend, was hanged to death in Philadelphia, PA. An intelligent man, Holmes graduated from the University of Michigan with a medical degree. Given the fact he tortured animals as a child, it should come as no surprise to find that he financed his education with a series of insurance scams. He obtained coverage on nonexistent people and would collect by presenting corpses as the insured. In 1886, he moved to Chicago to work as a pharmacist. Through another series of scams and cons he raised enough money to build a very elaborate home across from his shop, called the Castle. His mansion had trapdoors, secret passages and false walls. In his bedroom he had controls with which he could fill guest rooms with gas. During the 1893 Chicago Worlds Fair, tourists and young women who had rented rooms from him began disappearing. It would seem most of his victims ended up as skeletons purchased by medical schools, no questions asked. Holmes was finally caught attempting another scam with a corpse. After his arrest, he confessed. It was reported that the remains of over 200 people were found on the grounds of his mansion. May 12, 1932 The Body of the Lindbergh Baby is Found. On this day in 1932, more than two months after he was kidnapped, the body of Charles Lindbergh's baby is found less than a mile from Lindbergh's home. Sadly, the child had been killed the night of the kidnapping. The kidnapper had used a ladder to gain entry through an open second story window and left a ransom note for $50,000, found in the childs room. A few days later a letter arrived demanding $70,000 ransom and on April 2nd, instructions for delivering the money were received. Instructions were followed and the authorities were told the baby was on a boat, the Nelly, off the Massachusetts coast. Of course, the boat was not found nor was the baby. More than two years later, marked bills from the ransom turned up at a gas station and were traced to a German immigrant, Bruno Hauptmann. He denied having anything to do with the kidnapping. Even with a lack of overwhelming evidence, what evidence the police did have, along with intense pressure from the public, Bruno Hauptmann was convicted after a nationally covered sensational trial. Bruno Hauptmann was executed in the electric chair in April of 1935. As a result of these horrific events, kidnapping was made a federal crime. May 23, 1934 Bonnie and Clyde Are Killed.Bonnie Parker was 19 when she met Clyde Barrow in a Texas jail while visiting her husband. Apparently, they became very close, as she smuggled a gun, taped to her thigh, into the jail to help him escape. Although he was later captured in Ohio and sent back to jail, it wasn't for long. He was granted release in 1932 due to a personal appeal from his mother to the Texas governor. He swore he would never return. The fall of 1932 found the pair doing small time robberies in Texas and Oklahoma. For reasons not clear, the media loved Bonnie and Clyde and the duo loved the attention, often posing for snapshots with their weapons. The two barely escaped a trap in Missouri, killing two lawmen during the shootout. Frank Hamer, a Texas Ranger, tracked the pair for three months before catching up to them. Near Sailes, LA, a group of Texas and Louisianna lawmen set up an ambush along the highway where the couple were to meet their fate. When Bonnie and Clyde appeared, they were caught in a hail of bullets lasting two minutes. 167 rounds were fired, killing Bonnie and Clyde. VOLUNTEERS WANTED!Every
